Description

Ultimate Detox: essential for preparing the liver for phase 2 detoxification. It does not contain botanicals, minerals, or B vitamins that upregulate phase 1 detoxification, which may result in intermediate metabolites that could cause sensitivity reactions. Providing nutritional support for phase 2 detoxification helps conjugate toxins and prepare them for safe elimination from the body.

Ultimate Detox is used in the Naturally Nourished clinic to support the detox process on an ongoing basis and can also be pulsed up after environmental toxin exposure, alcohol consumption or during a Candida Cleanse.

Highlights

  • Taurine, methionine, MSM, & N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC): sulfur-containing amino acids and compounds, which support the sulfation pathway of detoxification. Think of sulfur as an ‘escort’ the liver uses to tag certain toxins for removal from the body. This pathway requires sufficient sulfur to function optimally.
  • Glutathione: the body’s master antioxidant and free-radical scavenger, aided by glutamine & NAC
  • Calcium-D-Glucarate: supports the glucuronidation pathway and inhibits an enzyme that can undo Phase II detoxification in the colon. Glucuronic acid, which is part of this pathway, is another of the liver’s escort molecules that binds to toxins and aids in their excretion.

Ultimate Detox is a perfect addition to any detox program. It’s great for anyone who wants support for Phase II detoxification pathways, and may even be used in preparation for an intensive detoxification/cleansing protocol.

How to Use

This product is used in our Beat the Bloat Cleanse to aid in removing debris of die off of bacteria and yeast. It is also included in our Reset Restore Renew Detox Packs as 3 of the 5 pills per pack to aid in comprehensive detox support. If you are looking to do a 10-day Detox, it would be recommended to use the Reset Restore Renew Detox Packs

Also, if you have a lifestyle that is prone to toxic exposure due to hazardous chemical exposure, traffic and exhaust, cosmetics and hair dye, alcohol, etc. you may consider incorporating 1 Reset Restore Renew Detox pack at bed daily as opposed to using the Ultimate Detox throughout the day as a more consistent routine.

Note: During breastfeeding it is not recommended to do a 10-Day Detox or gut cleanse as this would liberate too many toxins that would pass through the breast milk and stress your baby; however, if you are doing something that is stressing or toxic to your baby lifestyle wise and/or you have known heavy metal toxicity or estrogen dominance, this may be a reasonable tool to support balance. Likely a dosage of up to 4 capsules daily is safe for breastfeeding mothers to reduce toxic impact with overdriving release. As always consult with your practitioner.
